BIG IDEA OF THE DAY: “You are a diamond dear, they can’t break you.” – Pravinee Hurbungs
All superhero movies have a pivotal moment when the superhero has to decide what he/she stands for. What makes the fight and the sacrifices worth it? Wonder Woman is no exception.
“It is not about deserving. It is about what you believe.”
It is not about deserving. It is not even about what is right or wrong, better or worse. It is about what you believe. It is about what you have faith, deep trust, in. What is that thing, that one thing you have such deep conviction in that you are willing to do whatever it takes, do whatever you can, and be daring enough to become your best self in service to “it”? The ‘It’ that nourishes you. The ‘It’ that inspires you. The ‘It’ that is your purpose and your passion. The ‘It’ that makes you unique. The ‘It’ that is your super power.
You see, we don’t need to be special “Amazonian women”, have a Lasso of Truth, or a special sword that can destroy evil. But what you do need is an unyielding belief and the willingness to do YOUR best and BE YOUR best. Wonder Woman had to work hard and train for years to become the skilled, fearless warrior that she was. She had to (1) be open to learning new ways; (2) ask for help; (3) she had to be willing to stand by her own truth even when others told her it was not the right time for it; (4) she had to look within herself to find her strength, her gift, and the resilience to withstand the power of evil; and finally, (5) she was “super” because of her willingness to stand by what she believed in.
What do you believe? What are you choosing to dedicate your life to being and doing? Remember, the one super power no one can ever take away from you is your ability to choose. Choose your response. Choose your belief. My invitation to you is to choose an empowering belief that makes you come alive, and let go of the self-limiting beliefs that hold you back, slow you down, or stand in your way from becoming your super-self!
